Most of the time we take certain things for granted, for instance, the types of food we take daily or in terms of cleaning our teeth (brushing twice a day). It's important to take care of your mouth and teeth starting from childhood. But this should not worry you; we have some tips that could help you and also identify some of the complications with your dental health.


Problems associated with teeth

Impacted Teeth.



This is when a tooth is stuck between another tooth, gums or soft tissues. Impacted teeth usually occur because of crowding or lack of space in the bone. Third molars (wisdom teeth), particularly the lower, are the last to erupt and are more likely to be impacted. Because of crowding and difficulty with cleaning, decay in adjacent teeth, as well as gum disease, often occurs. Surgical removal of impacted teeth is often recommended but may be optional unless problems develop.


Gum problems


It consists of gum bleeding, the gum is tender, they pull away from the teeth. Which is mainly caused by a build-up of plaque, a sticky bacterium, below the gum line causes it. To prevent gum infections, Proper brushing and flossing of the teeth and gums should be observed. Also, use antibacterial toothpaste and mouthwash to kill bacteria and visit your dentist for cleaning and checkup regularly.


Clenching and grinding your teeth


Grinding your teeth is called bruxism. Stress is the main cause. Bruxism causes a headache, sore jaw and cracked or loose teeth.

Here's how to keep your mouth and teeth healthy

· Brush your teeth twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste.

· Clean between your teeth every day with floss or another type of between-the-teeth cleaner.

· Snack smart - limit sugary snacks.

· Don't smoke or chew tobacco.

· See your dentist or oral health professional regularly.

Types of food that will keep your teeth healthier.


Cheese


Dairy food including cheese is rich in tooth and bone-fortifying calcium. it usually contains the casein protein, which stabilizes and repair enamel.

Leafy greens.

Spinach and other leafy greens are loaded with fibers, which is excellent for your teeth because it requires a lot of chewing to break down and generates saliva that cleans and rinses your teeth while also neutralizing the acid.


Carrots.

Raw carrots and other raw veggies and fruits that require a lot of chewing like apples, pears, and cucumber can all strengthen your teeth.


We all want a beautiful smile and a fresh breath. From the above information, it can easily be achieved if followed to the letter and made a daily routine.
