How many of us eat for the taste and not for the health? Yes, the majority of us eat for the sweet taste and not for our health and that means we are reducing our lifespan and ability to live many years.

Research and study show that living and eating healthier increases someone’s lifespan. In order to increase your lifespan, you need to eat well and have a healthy diet.

Eating healthy means eating a variety of foods that give you the nutrients you need to in order to maintain your health, make you feel good and alive and makes you have energy.

Tips for eating healthy.


Eat lots of fruits and vegetables


Fruits are natural snacks and are fun to eat as they add color and appeal to one's plate. Fruits and veggies are nutritious in any form and they are ready in any form whether raw or steamed. One needs to eat more of them since they provide fiber that helps fill you and keep your digestive system satisfied. Moreover, they help reduce risks of contracting lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure and other cardiac complications.Fruits and veggies are also low in calories and they contain vitamins and minerals healthy for your body.

Eat white meat.

Fish is one of the healthiest food on the planet. Eating a lot of fish will help in the brain functioning and also prevent diseases such as stroke and asthma in children. It also improves sleeping quality.


Drink a lot of water

Water is free. 60% of an adult body and 75% of an infant body constitute water. Water helps boost the immune system and it reduces fatigue. It also helps in reducing weight and detoxifying our bodies. It helps reduce pain in menstrual cramps and natural headache.


Use less salt.

Our bodies need less salt because too much of it may stress the heart and increase one’s blood pressure.


Don’t skip breakfast

Breakfast is very important since it is the first meal that kicks of all the activities and functions of your body. Breakfast improves your memory and your concentration level. Did you know that having breakfast can improve your mood? No matter how old or young you are, having breakfast will improve your mood.


Cut down on fats and sugar

This will not only help in checking your weight but will also reduce the chances of you getting lifestyle disease and being obese. Avoid junk foods, fries and consider carrying lunch from home. Reduce the intake of sugary stuff like chocolate and cakes as they may also affect your dental health.
